Another fantastic outing with a good friend, Tom Fulton. I always look forward to his half dozen trips or so a year, as well as early spring trout fishing in Colorado. Once again, we had a fantastic day down at Waterdale Ranch on the Big Thompson. We got into our first fish within the first couple minutes of the day, Euro Nymphing, and the action really never stopped. The fish were not spread out too much yet, and we still found most fish stacked up in water 2′ of depth and deeper. By the end of the day, we had landed around 30 fish ranging from 11″ to 18″ and all fish were Cuttbows or Rainbows with 2 browns. All the fish were caught on size 14 and 16 tungsten jig style hooks, running a 2 fly rig.
